A CSA share involves 20-22 weeks of over 40 certified naturally grown vegetables and a growing assortment of perennial crops. See the FAQ’s sheet for more details. We know that a living and fertile soil makes for nutritionally dense and the best quality and tasting produce. We do all that we can to create such soil conditions: cover crops, compost application, minimum till, crop rotation, and mulching. We also believe this is a responsible use of God’s creation.
You are our primary concern. We do sell to local restaurants, but you receive first fruits and best fruits. Members and their families are welcome to hike, camp, and picnic on the farm. We are currently working on a trail system. Members are also given first access to our other farm products and future farm products; pastured beef, pastured pigs, poultry, pastured eggs, and other products before non-members and at a reduced rate!

The taste of the bird is directly tied to what it eats. A bird out on pasture gets 30% of its diet from grasses, forage, and insects, which in turn causes the meat to be more tender, clinically shown to be far lower in saturated fat, and contain more vit A,B, beta carotenes, and omega 3 acids.
We do not use anti-biotics or growth enhancers. We can do this because of our small scale and daily access to fresh pasture, which prevents build up of diseases and parasite problems. By maintaining C:N ratios and balanced bacteria in the soils due to not keeping the birds too long in one spot, we allow nature to do the clean up work.
Poultry are designed by God to forage in flocks. Raising them in pens allows this to happen and gives the chicken access to fresh grass and insects every day, plus protection from predators. They are the happiest chickens around.
Their manure benefits our pasture and future vegetable ground as well.
Butchering is done as a service we provide.
We butcher all our birds for our own keeping on the farm, I like to know where and how my bird has been treated from start to finish. You are getting a truly fresh bird, chilled but not frozen!
We butcher on farm as a free service to you. Instructions for how to piece a bird will be provided and demonstrated at pick-up. It is easy! We are clean, sanitary, and safe. Come see our operation if you like.
Customer inspection is the best inspection!

Our laying hens are truly “pasture raised”. An eggmobile with a large poultry net area follows our vegetable crop rotation to further enhance our soil and give access to fresh greens and insects for the birds. They also function as weed and insect control. The resulting eggs are higher in vitamin and mineral content, a lower amount of bad cholesterol, and just plain better tasting!
In the future the eggmobile will follow our pasture feed cows and scratch through cattle droppings to sanitize the pasture just like birds in nature that always follow herbivores as biological cleansers. The cows will mow ahead of the chickens.
